What makes VH Saddles so comfortable for the rider?
The flaps and skirts on VH Dressage and Show Saddles are covered in hide and have soft inserts giving the rider an amazingly comfortable feel with superb grip.
The twist is narrow and the contact between horse and rider is close, allowing the rider to really feel the horse’s movement.
The specially designed knee rolls are placed so as to not interfere or restrict the rider but to be supportive when needed.
Many different knee roll shapes and sizes are available which when combined with the option of altering the flap angle and length, stirrup bar position and knee roll placement ensures the perfect rider position is attained.
What makes VH Saddles so comfortable for the horse?
The channel width is very wide and can be made as wide as required to ensure no pressure is placed on the horse’s spine.
The panels are very generous being flat and wide, and are flocked with pure white wool. Synthetic wool can be used if requested.
The back gussets are routinely made extended but can be made straight for short backed horses and can be made deeper if necessary.
Front gussets can be added if necessary when the saddle is being made.
The girth system is a point and V-web system for maximum stability both laterally and longitudinally on the horse. It helps equalise the pressures applied by the girth to the back of the horse.
The tree is made from layers of laminated birch plywood with sprung steel.
The VH Dressage and Show Saddles maximise horse and rider comfort enabling optimum feel, effectiveness of rider aids and overall performance.
